We are a 34-acre full-service equestrian facility meeting your needs for boarding, instruction, recreational riding, clinics, parties, competitions, and equine fun and friends. We enjoy many equestrian disciplines including trail, dressage, hunters, jumping, eventing, and foxhunting. Come unwind at our beautiful farm and spend time with horses and like-minded horsepeople.
Equine scientist Dr. Nancy Toby is living a lifelong dream of her own stable, after 5 decades in the horse industry at all levels and disciplines - including teaching Equine Science courses at 5 colleges, serving as state horse specialist in IL and NH, founding a State Horse Council, conducting equestrian research at 3 Olympic Games, and professionally managing a busy horse facility for the US Government. Recently she became an active adult member of US Pony Clubs (first place Horsemasters Team in Quiz, 2018 USPC Championships).
* Dr. Toby's resume *
Steve Toby has been a naval architect for his long career and is looking forward to a peaceful "retirement" on the farm in a few years, focusing on financial management.
Twins Catherine and Elisabeth are avid participants in US Pony Clubs. Catherine competed at USPC Championships for 3 years (3rd Quiz Team 2016 & 2017; 3rd Dressage Team 2018). They have both competed in many Chesapeake Bay Horse Shows Association shows, and Catherine rode hunt seat for 2 years with the Interscholastic Equestrian Assn. They attend high school in St. Michaels, MD.
We have a lineup of highly-qualified instructors and trainers to provide a comprehensive educational program for boarders, lesson students, and haul-ins. We strive for excellence for our riders and horses at all levels, from beginners through adult amateurs in dressage, eventing, hunters, show jumping, and show ring equitation.
We hope to launch a new IEA Dressage Team in late summer 2019, for 4th grade to 12th grade students. Stay tuned!!
We are proud of our knowledgeable and reliable staff members who conduct the daily horse management duties and facility maintenance of the farm with courtesy and professionalism. We support social security and worker's compensation for all employees. Employees receive a 20% discount on horse board. Our employment application forms are HERE.
Our maintenance crew help keep the farm in good repair and looking tip-top. Much time is spent on keeping our 20 acres of pastures mown and well-dragged; and maintaining 1.7 miles of fencing. We appreciate their efforts!
